Turing Point USA’s model of using Jesus to gain political power is not new. In the 80’s, televangelist Jerry Falwell created The Moral Majority to galvanize Christians to the polls. Initially, they wanted segregated schools in the south, but eventually settled on Pro Life messaging.
I went to Turning Point USA’s Make Heaven Crowded tour with Erika Kirk and those ideals are thriving.
The left doesn’t have either a North Star or a giant money machine funding our messaging. It’s both beautiful and potentially detrimental.
