As we all well know, history often repeats itself. And it is very likely to happen again.
After the Watergate scandal, 48 of Richard Nixon goons were convicted of crimes, and 30 of them went to prison. Before they got caught, before they were prosecuted, before they were held accountable, Nixon’s criminal associates thought they were untouchable. I mean after all, they were committing the crimes together with and for the benefit for the President of the United States. And they believed the president would have their backs.
They thought they were untouchable, beyond the reach of the rule of law
But accountability came for Nixon’s goons, and 30 of them went to prison.
You see the parallels here? Donald Trump’s goons are committing crimes together with and for the benefit of the president of the United States, and they think they’re untouchable. They think they are beyond the reach of the rule of law. Because after all, the president will have their back.
Friends, accountability WILL come for Donald Trump’s goons, just the way it came for Richard Nixon’s goons.
