There’s no hiding from the fact that, it the recent days, the very notion of a free, fair, representative democracy has taken some bodyblows – first from the United States Supreme Court undercutting minorities having any fair shot at representation in Congress, and then today, the Virginia Supreme Court undercutting the express will of the Virginia voters on the redistricting front.
Yes, free, fair, representative government has taken some bodyblows. But we have to take the blows and keep moving forward. In fact, we have to keep punching back .
To that end, here on my Justice Matters YouTube channel, between now and the midterms, I’m going to interview and highlight as many congressional candidates as I can: candidates who are willing to be democracy warriors, to take the gloves off and to fight for free, fair elections.
